About the research
This year-long project seeks to establish a collaborative research relationship between the Centre for Research in Writing at the University of Exeter, and Professor Eduardo Calil’s team in the University of Alagoas, Brazil. The project looks at the metalinguistic talk of newly-literate Brazilian children as they work together in pairs composing a story as a way of understanding how their knowledge of writing and being writers is developing.
