In this module you will learn the basics of programming in Python, the most popular programming language for social data science. The module runs in term 1 and 2 and will cover the following topics: data types, algorithms, sequences and iteration, flow control, data manipulation, data visualisation, web scraping. The module does not require mathematical background and is taught at a pace appropriate for social science students.
