PhD Study

We have a thriving community of PhD students researching a diverse range of topics at home and abroad on both a full and part-time basis. We welcome applications from prospective PhD students. Masters Study

Our Masters programmes (MA Food Studies and MSc Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture) reflect the diverse interests of our team.

The MA Food Studies programme, convened by Harry West, is designed to prepare students to understand, critically assess, and practically engage with foodways and food systems.

The MSc Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture programme, homed in Biosciences and convened by Dan Bebberwas developed in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, including: the agricultural industry, government agencies, farmers and food manufacturers, and aims to equip participants with skills in agronomy, plant pathology, plant disease and plant genetics, and knowledge of modern agricultural systems and agricultural policy
